  1. Christine, thank you for posting all of these quotes. I am definitely going to hold onto that one from Brazelton about attachment. A lot of what we do is related to attachment and sometimes parents don't understand exactly what it is or what it means. Brazelton puts it so eloquently here: “Attachment to a baby is a long-term process, not a single, magical moment. The opportunity for bonding at birth may be compared to falling in love---staying in love takes longer and demands more work.” I wish all children could have parents that fall in love with them this way but when they miss out we can help repair some of that damage.
